For any club, it's best to have a drafted privacy policy. If you have an online presence, it's also important to post that privacy policy online. Especially with onine registration, it's important to let your members know how you are collecting their information and what you might be doing with that information. If you plan on emailing them marketing materials to promote your club, you should let them know. If you might share your membership information with other clubs, that might also be a good indicator. If their information will be shared with sports governing bodies (like Skate Canada, for examplle), this would be a good place to indicate that. You should always consult with any legal counsel in drafting your privacy policy as it should cover the information for not just your website and registration system, but how you manage your club.
